Bathinda District is situated in the Southern part of Punjab State in the heart of Malwa region. It forms part of newly created division Faridkot Revenue Commissioners Division. The district is surrounded with Sirsa and Fatehabad of Haryana State in the south, Sangrur and Mansa district in the East, Moga in the North-east and Faridkot&Muktsar in the North-west.
Star your tour to visit in Qila Mubarak. The 1400 year old Qila Mubarak or otherwise known as Bathinda Fort is centrally located in the city of Bathinda. This fort had once been a residence of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and was the place where Empress RaziaSultana was imprisoned after being defeated and deth-roned. Bahia Fort built in 1930, Bahia Fort once served as the formal residence to the family of the army of Patiala. This fort was con-verted into a plush hotel in 1980 and was renovated with a blend of modern and traditional architecture. After this visit you can visit in Rose Garden. This is a popular tourist and a weekend destination at Bhatinda. Located near the Thermal Plant and stretched over an area of 40,000 sq. meters, this garden blooms in all colors of roses during winter. And last in your tour you can see Maiser Khana. On the Bhatinda- Mansa Road, at a distance of 29 km from Bhatinda is the location of the Maiser Khana Mandir. It is a temple dedicated to the Goddess JwalaJi and Durga. As per the legend, once there was a devotee named “Kamala”, who couldn’t take the journey of the pilgrimage to JwalaJi.
